Hi fellow colleagues!
I'm hoping some of you have any inputs on a casus.

Anamnesis:
-1y and 4m old budgie with cs feather plucking. Was adopted by owner a year ago with the same symptoms, and has gotten worse with time.
- normal apetite, normal feces
-has good quality seed mix, mineral stones etc.
- the owner has kept birds for 30 y with a lot of experience
- keeps more birds together, and no one has the same symptoms.

Clinical exam:
- standing on bottom of carrier
-eyes: clear,normal blink/third eye/conjunktiva.
-nares and cere: clear, patent nostrils
- beak: proper occlusion and appearance
-abdomen palp: slightly concave
-ausc cor et pulm: normal
-cloaca and vent: moist, pink
- wings: normal symmetry, motion. No bony abnormalities or joints
-feet and legs: no abnormalities
-nervous system: alert and aware.
- feather and skin: alopecia most of body except head and parts of wings. Superficial lesion on stern and the wings.

Assesment
- Due to lack of symptoms of the other birds in it's environment I suspect that this is not infectious.

If it is psycological, would you try with antidepressant. If so what kind?

What do you think? How would you rule out the diffs?

I am not very experienced with birds. So every thought would help a lot!
