Echocardiography:
pulmonary hypertension and vena cava syndrome due to intracardiac Dirofilaria immitis.

▪️ right parasternal long axis 4 chambers, dilation of the right chambers with parasites in the ventricle and atrium is observed.
▪️ same window optimized for right cameras.
▪️right parasternal short axis at the level of papillary muscles, flattening of the interventricular septum. The parasites are observed in the lumen of the right ventricle.
▪️apical left parasternal 4 chambers, dilated right chambers and parasites in both right chambers.
