Have a rabbit, estimated 5 yo, male intact. Started decreasing in apetite 2 days ago, leaving dry food majority in the food bowl. Eating still the vegetables and treats and hay. However, decreased a bit hay intake and veggies ate during the day and not immediately as usual. No diarrhea, coughing nor sneezing. However passing smaller and drier faeces since 2 days, yesterday less amount. Still active and wants cuddles, however today seems a bit more depressed. Noticed that as of today his RHS of face is swollen and also keeping ears down. Was given loxicom syrup yesterday. On CBD oil, not everyday.
Previous Medical History - 11.2022 Had E. cunuculi and was treated for it. However remained with slight head tilt to the right hand side. Head tilt slight now, not rolling anymore except when put back in cage.

On exam - Rabbit pain score 2. On palpation right hand side of cheek area between tooth and gum feels a bit softer and inflamed compared to left hand side. Gut sounds present left hand side only however rabbit is quite stressed. Sligth head tilt to the RHS - L ear clear, tyrmpanic mebrane intact, R ear with some wax build up however could not visualzie reflection from the tymapnic mebrane - Possible perforation? But impeded from the wax build up. Abdominal palpation normal except soft on palpation and minor faeces build up caudally

X-rays and Bloods where taken. X-rays LL of mouth, possibles abscess present (attached below). Only normal x-ray used as unfortunately live on an island where no one has a dental x-ray. Bloods showed high TP and Glo and TBIL quite high (attached below).

Plan is to book in rabbit for examination of mouth under sedation with possible dental sx. In the meantime placed on Meloxicam 1mg/kg dose SID, Enrofloxacin BID with probitoics in between 10 days, Metoclopramide SID for 3-5 days.

Any thoughts / feedback on the case would be much appreciated since I do not see rabbits that much, and unfortunately no access to a specialist. Thank you in advance.

Anyone experienced with amoeba in bearded dragons? Did a native smear where I found several round, slightly see-through, structures moving around. No flagellas og cilia that I could see. I wasn't able to get a good picture through the microscope... I've sent in a fecal to laboklin. Do you know how long amoeba live in feces?
