Here are some peculiar X-rays of cockatiel, taken by referring vet, sex unknown, age unknown though current ownership last 9 months and looked like adult at time of rehoming. Seed diet, vitamin supplement but only on seeds, no UV light. Has in this period held wing straight downwards on and off. Can fly and seems otherwise normal. Haven’t seen the bird myself. I’m especially curious about the ulna, metacarpals, and tibiotarsii (if you look closely). Talking about the bird, not the human Looks too extreme for polyostotic hyperostosis though distribution fits maybe. Bone marrow tumour? Earlier developmental metabolic bone disease?
