Final diagnosis - lymphoma
Treatment- owner elected to move forward with chemotherapy

Second opinion presented to me 2/21/24
9yr old male neutered American pit bull with long term skin allergies well controlled per o on apoquel and antibiotics when necessary.
Surgical removal of a mass under L forelimb 12/12/23 (unknown size etc....awful previous vet records). O declined histopath at the time, per records
Cytopoint had been used in past- not helpful
Treated with cefpodoxime 12/23
O states around Christmas 2023 (after surgery) patient started developing cutaneous ulceration.
Seen by prev vet 1/24/24 - no PE findings noted in records (). Started on Prednisone tapering dose. Skin culture grew e. Coli, corynebacterium, famma-hemolytic strep, and highly resistant staph schleiferi(only susceptible to clindamyci. Ans chloramphenicol.
Saw pt as second opinion 2/21/24
Impression cytology and photos of pt attached.
Did not perform dx. Rx tramadol and gabapentin for pain.
Had long conversation with owners. O agreed to go through ER in morning and request internal consult with oncology and dermatology. Stressed sig ificsnce and ddx high on list - cutaneous lymphoma, SCC, autoimmun...or other
